What is Lysvira Tallow & Honey Balm?
It is a rich, concentrated moisture balm made with Irish beef tallow, raw Irish honey, unrefined beeswax, organic olive oil and a blend of botanical oils. It is designed to soften dry-feeling skin and help seal in lasting moisture.
How do I use the balm?
Warm a small amount between clean fingertips, then gently massage it into clean skin. Start with less than you think you need—the concentrated balm melts on contact and spreads easily. For best results, apply to slightly damp skin.
Can I use it on both my face and body?
Yes. Use a very small amount on the face, or apply it to dry areas such as hands, elbows, knees, cuticles and heels. Avoid direct contact with the eyes and use externally only.
Which skin types is it best for?
The rich texture is especially suited to dry, rough or moisture-depleted skin. Combination or oily skin may prefer a smaller amount or targeted use on dry areas.
Will it feel greasy or heavy?
Because this is a water-free balm, it feels richer than a lotion. Using a small amount and warming it well before application helps it spread evenly and absorb with a more comfortable finish.
What does it smell like?
The balm has a warm botanical aroma created by frankincense, sandalwood, neroli, rose geranium, patchouli and palmarosa. The scent may vary slightly because the formula contains naturally derived ingredients.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin can react differently to botanical and essential oils. Patch test a small amount for 24 hours before wider use, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Is this product vegan?
No. The formula contains beef tallow as well as bee-derived honey and beeswax.
Why can the texture change with temperature?
Natural balms can soften in warm conditions and become firmer when cool. This is normal. Keep the jar tightly closed, store it in a cool, dry place and avoid prolonged heat or direct sunlight.
How long will one 60 ml jar last?
This depends on how often and where you use it. Since only a small amount is needed per application, facial use generally lasts longer than frequent full-body or multi-area use.
